After the redesign was live, we started working on the operations layer. First the app integrations and their flows, then Zapier automations, then connecting external systems to Shopify through storefront events and custom logic.
One of the more complex pieces was the sample handling flow. Wonderful Dental runs two separate fulfilment processes, one for samples, one for orders. I refactored and improved the existing flow: cleaner routing logic, better error visibility, and GA4 tracking wired in so the analytics and marketing teams could finally see what was actually happening at each step.
The goal was never to make things more technical. It was to make things invisible, and to make sure that when something broke, it broke loudly, with an alert, not silently in the background.
The people who benefited weren't just in operations. The team responsible for conversion optimization and customer acquisition gained clean, reliable data for the first time. That changes how decisions get made.
